I: YOUR CONSENT
By giving Retiredjob.ca your personal information, you authorize it to use and disclose the information in connection with its services, the management of its contractual relations and the administration of its business in accordance with the Policy, as permitted or required by law and as implicitly indicated by the circumstances.
Visitors registered on the Platform (the “Users“) who have expressed an interest in job postings published on the Platform thereby agree to have their résumé and contact information sent by Retiredjob.ca to employers and individuals who have published the job postings (the “Employers“) and who have subscribed to a package for this purpose with Retiredjob.ca. Retiredjob.ca assures Users that neither their résumé nor their contact details will be communicated to Employers if the Employers have not bought a package from Retiredjob.ca. In addition, Retiredjob.ca will request your permission before using your personal information for purposes other than those covered by your original consent.
Finally, you may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Please be aware that, without your consent, Retiredjob.ca may no longer be able to provide you or to continue to provide you with certain services or information that may be useful to you. If you provide Retiredjob.ca or its service providers and agents with personal information about another individual, you undertake to obtain the necessary authorization to do so and/or you have obtained all necessary consents from the individual allowing us to collect, use and disclose this personal information for the purposes set out in this Policy. II: PURPOSE OF COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION BY Emploiretraite.ca
Personal information is collected notably for the purpose of providing pertinent information about you to Employers, sending you job offers, contacting you, enabling transactions to be made between Retiredjob.ca’s Users and Retiredjob.ca. Personal information collected in this regard includes, but is not limited to, your name, personal phone number, personal email address and any other information allowing us to best serve you. The information will also be used to administer accounts receivable, manage customer and business relationships and comply with regulatory requirements at all times. You also authorize Retiredjob.ca to use your personal information in order to send you newsletters, surveys, contests, promotions and any other relevant information related to our business. Finally, Retiredjob.ca complies with the provisions of Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (“CASL”).
In addition to the information that you knowingly provide, Retiredjob.ca may collect domain names and IP addresses from Users of the Retiredjob.ca website (the “Platform”), gather usage statistics (e.g.: types of Web browsers and operating systems used) and establish browsing histories. Retiredjob.ca uses these data to carry out its business, promote its services and administer its website more efficiently and only for this purpose.
Retiredjob.ca uses Google Analytics and other Web traffic measurement tools. Google Analytics collects information about your navigation of the Platform including, but not limited to, pages visited, frequency of visits to the Platform, hyperlinks used and your IP address. The information collected by Google Analytics is used to generate statistics and reports for Retiredjob.ca to improve its electronic service delivery. If you do not want Google Analytics to collect information about your browsing, please install the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics on your computer or contact Retiredjob.ca at email@example.com.
III: METHOD OF COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION BY EMPLOIRETRAITE.CA
Retiredjob.ca collects your personal information with your consent and in accordance with legal requirements. Where possible and appropriate, we collect your personal information directly from you or from persons you have chosen to provide us with your personal information.
In addition to the methods described above, we may also collect information using cookies or similar technologies, particularly during your visits to our Platform. These methods allow us to collect various types of information, including the pages you visit, which emails you read and other information.
IV: PROTECTION AGAINST FRAUD AND THEFT OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Retiredjob.ca undertakes at all times to comply with the laws and regulations applicable to its business and to take all useful and necessary steps to detect and prevent negligence, fraud and theft of your personal information. In the event of discovery of fraud, Retiredjob.ca will file a complaint with the appropriate authorities. If, as a User, you witness a case of fraud on the Platform, please contact Retiredjob.ca at firstname.lastname@example.org.
V: COMMUNICATION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
Retiredjob.ca may disclose to Employers information identifying you only for purposes related to our services to you with your express consent under this Policy or otherwise. Retiredjob.ca may also disclose to third parties information identifying you where required or authorized by law, where Retiredjob.ca intervenes in a lawsuit filed against Retiredjob.ca, where such disclosure may help Retiredjob.ca defend its rights or property or those of the Users, or where extreme circumstances require such disclosure in order to protect the security of Users or the public.
When we advertise, we do not share your information (personally identifying information, such as your name or contact information) with advertisers without your permission. We may disclose information to advertisers after removing your name and any other information that would identify you or combine it with other information in a way that makes it impossible to identify you. For example, we may tell an advertiser the impact of its ad has or the number of people who viewed or clicked on its ads or who installed an app after seeing an ad.

VII: METHOD OF PROTECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Retiredjob.ca uses administrative and technological security measures corresponding to the degree of sensitivity of your personal information, including information to safeguard access and guarantee confidentiality.
We have policies and procedures in place to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. In addition, our premises are secure and we have put in place technological protection measures such as passwords and firewalls to prevent unauthorized access to computers. We use data networks that comply with industry standards and password protection systems.
Despite implementation of all these measures, please know that no method of transmission or storage of information is completely secure. Retiredjob.ca does not guarantee success with respect to the integrity or security of electronic communications with you and you agree to receive unencrypted electronic communications from Retiredjob.ca. Retiredjob.ca strongly discourages Users from disclosing confidential personal information, such as their Social Insurance Number, by email. Retiredjob.ca will not respond to emails containing confidential data.
VIII: INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS
In some situations, your data may transit through servers outside of Canada. You acknowledge and release Retiredjob.ca from any and all liability for the consequences of such transfer.
IX: ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Retiredjob.ca may, subject to certain exceptions, inform you of your personal information, the use made of it and the fact that it has been disclosed to third parties. You will also be able to access this information in order to modify or delete it. Your request for access must be made in writing and sent to Jessie Deschenes at email@example.com
We will acknowledge receipt of your request in writing. We may ask you to confirm your identity before providing you with this information. In principle, access to this information will be provided free of charge, but if you ask to have your information copied or forwarded, we may charge a reasonable fee. We will inform you of the amount in advance and will give you the opportunity to withdraw your request. We will give you access to your information within 30 days of receiving your request or will provide you with written notice to notify you that additional time is required to respond to your request. In some cases, we may be unable to give you access to your information, in whole or in part. If we are unable to do so or if the law does not permit it, we will provide you with an explanation and other measures that are available to you.
Retiredjob.ca reserves the right to modify or supplement this Policy at any time. If we make changes to this Policy, we will post these changes on our website and the modified policy and changes will be made available upon request by contacting Julie Dufresne at firstname.lastname@example.org. However, as part of changes to our Policy, we are committed to using your personal information only for the purposes of this Policy in force at the time you provided your information or as required or as allowed by law, unless you have expressly consented otherwise.
